Idea for the forum

Postby StLBeer » Mon May 14, 2012 12:07 pm

Would it be possible to open a new browser tab or window when linking to an item in a post (another web site) instead of opening it up where you are when you left click it? It makes it a ton easier to get back to where you were rather than backing out through your history. Though I suppose I could right click it and select New Tab...but I'm lazy.

Just a thought and if there's a better way to do it than backing out through your history or right clicking the link, please let me know. I use Firefox.

Thanks!

I added a mod, click with the scroll wheel and it'll open in a new tab

That's actually how I surf most of the internet. I have the 5th button on my mouse mapped so that it opens links in a new tab. Works great.

Is holding down the ctrl button too much work?

Hey Auggie! No haters. Not everyone knows this. If someone had mentioned it then the mod could have been left out. I did ask if there were other methods.

There is also a mod where you can hold down the ctl button, should I install that one too?
