Heritage Festival handouts

Postby wnordmann » Tue May 01, 2012 1:18 pm

We need handouts for the Heritage festival.

Since we will be sharing the tent with other clubs GBS, maybe ESB, maybe AB Homebrew. Maybe we should consider a flyer that is about all the clubs not just one?

A quick list of what should be on the flyer
  • Meeting info
  • BJCP Judging info
  • Paragraph about homebrewing
  • Mention of Picnics
  • Mention of serving homebrewed beer at Heritage fest
  • Number of metals won by club members in 2011
  • News letter mention
  • Info about how the club is a wealth of knowledge
  • Mention that many local professional brewers are members

I hope these are only handed out by members wearing lanyards.

Flashy lanyards with LED's...please try to remember to round the edge of the coasters. I'd hate to see them used like cardboard throwing stars when people drink too much "Strawberry (Oopsie, my beer had an infection before I poured this strawberry flavoring) Wheat".

After considering all of the constructive and insightful comments maybe just handing out coasters is the best idea.

100-150 coasters a session 4 sessions about 500 coasters

It might be a good idea to have a flyer with a nod to the contributors and a posted schedule of who's serving what.

I can see a giant ball of disorganization in the sky! It's coming right for us!

I agree, but how do we hold to that schedule?

Fortunately for us it's off in the distance. A course change now could correct that. Of course, this is all assuming we have enough beer for the event.

Would it be possible for one of our event organizers to start a serving list for the Heritage Festival?
Serving - "Close Enough" Bigfoot Barleywine Clone, JD RIS (jealous?), Hard Apple Cider, American Wheat Ale, Nut Brown Ale, & commercial samples...
Carbonating -
Primary - Belgian Blonde
On Deck - American Wheat Ale
In the hole - AIPA
