How do you get entries to competitions outside of our area

I was looking at the upcoming competitions in the news letter and was thinking of entering the McHales Monthly Mash Out for September but I don't know how to get my beer there. Can someone tell me how they do it?

Bring it to the meeting and give it to Mike, our competition coordinator (and treasurer and web czar and...). He will ship it to the competition for you. Just make sure you have any registration papers (and fees) with the beer, or have it preregistered online, whatever the competition requires.

Otherwise, you would pack it very will and UPS or FedEx it. But then you''d have to pay the shipping out of your pocket instead of the club's.

I've sent out an email about upcoming competitions. You can view the list of upcoming competitions at any time in the 2011 Competitions post in this forum. I do try to keep the information in that post up to date as it becomes available.

As Drew mentioned, one of the benefits of club membership is that the club pays for shipping to out of town competitions. Just bring your entries, along with registration materials and entry fees, to the club meeting, and I will take care of the rest.
