Peaches

Postby PhilG » Fri Aug 19, 2011 4:44 pm

I'm going to use some fresh peaches in some form of an undetermined wheat beer. The question I have is it best to peel the skin off or leave it whole. I planned on soaking the sliced peaches in vodka for a few days before I put it into the secondary. My other thought was to cook the peaches up with a little sugar to bring out the juices. I'm sure someone has done this before and your advise is as always appreciated.

Don't cook, don't soak in vodka, slice off of pit, you don't want that in there.
This is coming from mead making experience, not beer.
