HOPS!!! Dilemma

Postby StLBeer » Wed Jan 05, 2011 8:21 pm

I have a line on some pellet hops of an unknown variety. I'm told they are aroma, but that's all and that is not absolutely certain. If I could get some of these, are there folks on this board interested in helping me find out which variety it is? They are pellet hops and 2010 crop.

Let me know if you're interested. I've got to make a decision this week.

Thanks!

very informative post.

Are you looking for smellers only? or people to go in on a bulk buy with you?

Hops are in Town!

Postby StLBeer » Sat Feb 12, 2011 10:49 am

Ok Folks,

The unknown 2010 crop hops are in town. My source tells me he's 99% sure they are aroma hops. I'm trying to get a list of the aroma hops grown. I take possession on Monday. 44lbs of pellet hops fresh from the northeast.

Who's willing to take a chance at $2/lb?

40lbs available. No shipping available. Local St Louis metro area distribution only.

I probably won't make the March club meeting. Other arrangements possible.

I had already said I would, but here's confirmation. Count me in for a pound.

I'll take 3 lbs worth. 6 bucks can't be that bad.

Ok Folks, here's what I have so far:

Gary 4
tlael 1
Sean 1
Drew 1
Mike 1
Jay 3
SteveO 3

26 pounds still available.

If you told me at one of the meetings (probably January) that you would like to get some of these hops, in all likelihood I did not remember as I did not write it down.

Thanks Sean for reminding me!

If this is open to everyone I will take a shot on 2 lbs. Might turn in to a really good experimental smash.
