Belgian Witbier basemalt

Postby karst » Mon Feb 19, 2007 10:30 pm

looking at using 54% malted barley 41% unmalted wheat and 5% unmalted oats for a Belgian white ale. Ran across some information about 2-row air dried 2-row barley. (AKA "wind malt").

Anyone know a source of this ingredient?

I've never seen a source of commercially available air-dried malt. The difficulty lies in the shelf life of these kinds of malts. As I understand it, they stay useable for a very short time.
