Going to KY and was wondering if anyone knew of a decent microbrewery in Louisville? Any suggestions on unique beers that we cannot get up north?

Some of the highlights you can get Stone, Dog Fish Head, Brooklyn Brewing, and maybe some Three Floyds. There are also nice growler laws that allow some stores to sell growlers of beer. Most liquor barns have growler fills. I also recommend the Louisville Beer Store it's a small bar / store with a great of draft and bottle beer.
For micro brewerys you'll be less lucky, BBC (Bluegrass Brewing Co.) is the only one in town, they make ok beer and have two locations.
In Kentucky Bourbon is king. Schlafly sells a bourbon barrel pale ale only in Kentucky. |
