bottle source & immersion chiller

Postby Robotfan » Wed Mar 23, 2016 7:16 pm

Way back when, I remember that there was a local liquor store that would sell deposit bottles to home brewers. I think the place was called St. Ann Liquor. Is that still around? Do they still sell deposit bottles? I need bottles for a couple of batches of beer (about 5 cases).

I'll be building an immersion chiller in a few weeks. I seem to remember that the last one I built was rather simple: the copper tubing was sold in a coil, so all I had to do was some minor bending, attaching hose clamps, and so on. And that is the bugbear: I don't remember how I attached the hose clamps, or how I attached the hose to my kitchen faucet.

Some of you old times might remember me from way back in 2001 or so. I was a club member back then. You might remember my chestnut brown le, mashed with a pound or so of chestnuts.

Missouri Malt (http://momalt.com/), located in Fenton, has a free bottle exchange for brewers. Give Kent a call.
