Cute new icons on the forums. Question, though: can we get a key at the bottom, a la Image

I'm not sure I like them that much. I need to make a few more to cover new topics and such. They looked great as large high res images, but turned cummy as they got small.

Thoughts are appreciated.

Personal opinion...... I'm not a fan. They seem gimmicky and unnecessary. Like something you'd see on late 90's Geocities websites (who remembers those?) or old-school MySpace pages.

If we are going to stay with the "gimmicky" icons, then I propose that they be empty, sad mugs when nothing new is posted and then these colorful happy mugs when there are new posts. The "casks" should be for stickied posts, I think...don't know how you'd figure out the color change on those.

Other than that, I can take them or leave them...

I am agreeing with Brain. I'll give them a few more days before I change them.

Making the mugs empty or full sounds like a job a graphics expert, something I am not. These images I got from a stock image site and had to get a friend to clean them up already.

Still planning to change them back to the old ones?

I think so, no one has said anything good about them. I'll do it tonight.

FWIW - I kind of like the new icons.
